I feel so silly not leaving a comment or review after suggesting this for the frontpage... ugh... (it was so late at night, I think)

very glad to see you getting some recognition for this SOLID bust. It has depth, visual appeal, a bit of coyness, and an infinite amount of style and fabric design fit for the imagination enough to place a fairly accurate personality on something so simple as this. Her eyes are stunning, the color palette is stunning, the concept execution is stunning... just wow ^^

Though I have to say that I do not deserve all of the praise here, because Vida is not my OC, so I cannot claim praise for any of the design choices and colour pallette here.
Nor do I really know her personality tbh.

MatthewLopz-type beat. This has a fantastic groove and somehow mixes a bright palette with unsettling ideals and couples them to create something akin to an urban mystery (possible horror) graphic novel ^^;

Agreed^^ it would be a dream to create something similar for a major graphic novel someday. Also yes Matthewlopz's art infuenced me so much when I have an intent to create this type of vent art, I can express something better I feel like.

Solid character art with an obviously "I just wear purple" aesthetic. You've balanced the less flashy aspects of the outfit with decals and symbolism and splotches of bold color.

It's very balanced and sincere ~

This is so detailed... I'm so mesmerized to the point I can't remember what your art originally looked like when I first started following you...

But the attention to detail and ability to attract the eyes *directly* to the character and character action focal point is soooo powerful...

and it's a "timed" commission ? incredible work and tone... the lighting itself only lends itself a slight harshness when the viewer is focusing on the subject's face, which in turn provides the slight strain in their expression of their dedication towards the concentration of the task they're currently engaged in...

I love seeing a bit of comedy from you because Codex Black carries so much WEIGHT from its cultural significance, it's cool to take a breather with something more off-tone :-]

Thank you! I'd like people to be able to approach Codex Black with a light heart too, although at some points it might indeed get pretty dark and with high stakes. Still, I do enjoy doing fan art every once in a while too. Glad you like it!
