Finally, after many years (it felt like) I get some more art from coby and it's brilliant!

It's hard to talk about the surrealism of a caution-yellow room with human-coby under the gaze of his OC and even futher under the gaze of a giant Corona-Chan. But I'm going to anyway.

A giant "SHELTER IN PLACE" text on the ceiling, a relaxed cat, and a seemingly lethargic coby relaxing within his confines. I think this accurately defines the dangers of the virus in a suffocating way by having her literally perch on the very outside of your quarantine. The hair falling over and obscuring a near-perfect view of your room adds a very nice touch of emphasis. Your drawing is mischievous enough to where the point gets across but isn't overly exaggerated, and feels rather complacent in a very interesting way.

Super happy to see art from you, and extremely ecstatic from its composition and theme~!

thanks for the review, and yeah while i was drawing this i thought to myself if my drawings ever had any real deeper meaning behind them, this would probably be the most symbolic piece out of anything i've drawn thus far

The beauty in the pose is how condensed the character is-- which allows for a very nice close-up of the details in her clothing and proportions, and justifies the really heavy lineart that emphasize her body parts. I really dig the theme of this commission and how accurately you portrayed the character and the plushie. The crate and the gun add enough emphasis on the theme without detracting from the overall focus on the character.

Amazing shading, great lineart, and a brilliant setting with smart lighting that ties all the hard work nicely together with a firm grasp on intelligent composition.
