Amazing animation style; it's like I'm watching an actual TV cartoon show.
The dialogue needs a bit more substance. There's not enough background exposition or clever banter to carve the relationships between characters. Why is she so willing to listen to everything her grandpa tells her to do? She sees her first ghost and is immediately okay with cutting it with a supernatural scythe. She accepts her new situation so casually it's hard to believe. The ghost guy had nothing to say about *why* he wanted to stay a ghost, or what happened to him. Small lines like, "Is grandma ok with you walking around in the night?" or "I've been preparing you for this moment for a while now," or "I just want to know who killed me," would have went a long way with making the characters feel more 'real'. Forcing your characters to have moral standings or background exposition would've helped with immersing the viewer.
The atmosphere you created with the animation was spot-on. I love the background noises and the soundtrack. The effort you put into creating a mysterious vibe really paid off.
I'm look forward to the next episode!
