The energy is definitely on par with exactly where it *should* be, with the only problem being any detachment from the main tempo.

This music is something to work out to, to get your blood pumpin' to, to maybe even cause a ruckus in-game or in real life, but there needs to be a separation from that main tempo just to give more of a variety to the sequencing.

Tasty keys, though ~~!!

Definitely a gritty track altogether.

There's heart in that backing, monstrous guitar riff, and the piano solos are very well placed and enthusiastic enough to follow along with its soul-binding keys. A side-scroller beat 'em up bop that would push the player to the next stage very organically.

Keep up the good work, my dude !! ^^

Thank you for leaving a comment. Absolutely, the track is gritty. I made the track in a couple of hours to lend it out in time for the "pixel day 2022" event, so I just adjusted the volume a bit. This is not mixed and mastered properly.
Sorry for the delay of my response and thank you for your words. Comments like yours motivate me to continue composing.

I think altogether the song thematically hit its exact nail on the head, but there's too much muddy-ness going on with the bass to where the definition of it is never really present, so it takes away from all the clarity going on between the lead instruments and their thematic tango.

Impressive definition of presentation, just that bass takes a bit away from it.

Hairmilked responds:

I definitely understand. Honestly the bass and chords are the only part I synthed myself so I think they could have benefitted from being analog.

I'm really glad that the themes came across well and thank you for your feedback :)

Super elegant, and somehow peaceful among the usual chaos that's represented in your songs.

I don't know what else to say besides that piano f*cking slaps and it felt like a duel between synths and organic piano instrumentation. That singular beat drop where the piano hits a few keys on its own adds so much damn personality--I was literally taken aback. There's this really strong duel attitude that goes along with how hard that piano is trying to express itself.

Truly a delicate combination of an outspoken piano mixed alongside wild and whacky synths with an ending that takes me back off my feet.

You've been reading up on how to gush about music or something? This is the kind of review that deserves a big thank you!

THANK YOU.

I think it lent itself very classically to the source material but the frontend was too muddled whereas the backend allowed other instruments to form a prominent thematic conclusion.

Basically, it does well, but not enough substance in the beginning to maintain the overall enclosure of Super Mario 64's thematic presence until it ties together much more confidently later on.

Mixed well, performed exceptionally, but holy f*ck did you find a place for every part of this song to add to each other like a delicious punch bowl.

I feel like I've been indoctrinated into the Bomberman lifestyle with how much funk and personality goes into crafting something so precise.

Amazing mix, concise execution, and a flow that I cannot doubt for a fiber of my being follows and pays correct homage the original source material.

Thank you so much for introducing me to this amazing song.

Leads in with a lot of room for other elements and presents itself as an open concept, but by the end you're introduced to so many different combinations of musical themes that you're naturally progressed into this outro that ties everything very uniquely together.

I barely felt the transitions and it definitely didn't feel like anything was being imposed onto my listening experience.

F*ck you Droid, you're amazing, this like a PB&J sandwich; it just works.

Altogether incredible feel and use of the House genre.

Personally, I feel the first drop left too early and should've been allowed to ride out that super funky and heavy vibe for just a few moments longer before the next breakdown. The ride out was phenomenal and the rest of the song just played into itself in such a perfect harmony.

Well done, yo.

Thematic concision based off of utilizing a singular string section.

I do believe this kind of held back the song in a way. The strings felt like they were all doing the same thing, where at the end the plucking added a distinct departure from a constricted format. It would have been extremely tasteful and able to break up any kind of monotony by bringing in different technique variations of strings, such as the plucking, to add some more flavor.

Altogether, very precise, but that also left a feeling of being too restrained :v
